When you reached the age of 21 and graduated from college, what plans or goals that comes across to your mind? Is it to get marry or to have a job and live independently?
In comparison to the western countries, as soon as the children reach the age of majority, they got separated from their parents, have a job and live independently. Whereas, in our country, even a child reaches the age of 40 though capable to have a decent and stable job, still remains and dependent to his parents.
It is an attitude of Filipinos that necessitates to be changed due to facts that it promotes the idea of dependence and being irresponsible. I am really in deep contest with that kind of principle.
It is justifying for some people who does not live independently on their own for some reasons as long as they have a job and helps in the finances. But not to those who are capable to work and yet relies on support from their parents.
Worse thing is, there are people who are 25 and above, have family and again waits for financial support. Irritating isn’t it? I really don’t pity those people.
No offense to those people who are descriptively like the aforementioned.
